Pine Bush is a small hamlet in the Town of Crawford, set at the foot of the Shawangunk Ridge. It is quiet and friendly, but there is more to do than many people expect, from mountain hikes to local wineries and one very unusual museum. Here are some favorites for residents and visitors. Explore Pine Bush's UFO history

Pine Bush is known around the country for reported UFO sightings, and the community has fun with it. The Pine Bush UFO & Paranormal Museum covers local and Hudson Valley stories, and the yearly Pine Bush UFO Fair brings vendors, costumes and crowds to the hamlet. Hike the Shawangunk Ridge

Some of the best hiking in the Hudson Valley is a short drive away. Minnewaska State Park Preserve offers lakes, cliffs and carriage roads, and the Sam's Point area is known for its views and blueberry barrens. The historic hamlet of Cragsmoor, once an artists' colony, sits up on the ridge nearby.

Visit local wineries

The countryside around Pine Bush is home to small wineries, including Brimstone Hill Vineyard and Baldwin Vineyards. They are a relaxed way to spend a weekend afternoon. Check hours before you go, since they can change by season.

Enjoy community events

The Town of Crawford runs a farmers market, a summer concert series, summer camp and fitness classes. These events are a great way for new residents to meet neighbors.

Shop and eat in the hamlet
